Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select the sword button below the game’s title to begin to begin.

        Interface
        On the top left corner are the following indicators:
        Heart meter: Shows how much health you have left
        Sword counter: Keeps track of the number of swords you have
        On the top right are the following controls:
        Sound button: Toggles the game’s audio
        Pause button: Pauses the game
        Coins: Shows how many coins you’ve collected over all the games you’ve played
        Point counter: Shows your current score
        Moving forward
        You automatically move
        Move up and down to dodge incoming enemies.
        Collect weapons and coins on the ground.
        Avoiding enemies and obstacles
        Avoid making contact with any of the enemies in the game.
        In addition, avoid hitting masses of rock that lie in your way.
        You cannot attack or defend until you collect weapons.
        Swords and shields
        Swords are your standard attack. Throw them at enemies to clear them from your path.
        You only have a limited number of swords at any given time.
        At the start of the game, you have no swords.
        Collect as many of them as you can find to build up and replenish your ammunition.
        Shields create a bubble that protects you from approaching enemies for a short time.
        You can walk past enemies without getting harmed and can collect
        The shields have no counter, so it’s hard to keep track of how many you have.
        Be sure to use them as soon as you find them.
        Health
        You start the game with 3 lives.
        Unlike in other games, your lives are represented by levels in a heart. The fewer lives you have, the lower the level in your heart icon.
        There is no way to replenish your health in this game.
        Scoring
        Your score is dependent on your the number of steps you make.
        The longer you play, the higher your score.
        Tips
        This game favors dodging over attacking. Conserve your ammo and use them only when you need to.
